Job Description

Tremaine & Associates, Inc. is seeking a project manager/ senior
archaeologist. The qualified candidate must have an MA or MS degree in
Anthropology or Archaeology, plus 5 years CRM experience, with at least 2
years in a supervisory role. Applicant must meet the Secretary of the
Interior Standards in archaeology, and should have demonstrated skills in
CRM, including supervisory experience on Phase I, II, and III projects.
Must be familiar with cultural resources laws and implementation. Knowledge
of Northern California history and prehistory is preferred, but applicants
with experience elsewhere will still be considered.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Prepare proposals, reports, and other technical documents, monitor field
procedures and contribute to research designs.

- Coordination with agencies, clients, and the Native American community to
ensure project success. Excellent communication skills required.

-Proficiency in all aspects of field work, data collection, inventory,
analysis, research, and report writing. Must be able to produce quality
reports - A writing sample is required.

- Monitor and manage project budgets.

-To ensure projects are completed in the most effective and professional
manner using sound management practices. Take initiative to resolve issues
and aid in development of new procedures as needed.

This is a regular, full-time position that will report to the Principal
Investigator. Salary will be based on individual qualifications and
experience.
