Students will be exposed to a wide variety of archaeological practices - from steps taken to finding a site to excavating a village site. A component of the program is a hands-on Archaic Skills unit where students will engage in activities such as flint knapping, food and medicines gathering and preperation, fire kit tools and more. Several lectures by experts in the field may include: Forensics and archaeology, GIS and archaeology, osteology, historic archaeology, Current Native issues, and more.
