Requests for Proposals will be received by the City Comptroller in his office at City Hall, 83 Broadway, 4th Floor, Newburgh, New York until 4:00 p.m., prevailing time, Tuesday, May 20, 2008 for the professional services to conduct a reconnaissance-level cultural resource survey of the City, west of the East End Historic District, identify historic features there within, classify those identified into useful categories, articulate the contexts and themes that characterize the late 19th and 20th century history of the City, and assess the significance of historic properties and potential districts.

Requests for Proposals will be received by the City Comptroller in his office at City Hall, 83 Broadway, 4th Floor, Newburgh, New York until 4:00 p.m., prevailing time, Tuesday, May 20, 2008 for the professional services to conduct a reconnaissance-level cultural resource survey of the City, west of the East End Historic District, identify historic features there within, classify those identified into useful categories, articulate the contexts and themes that characterize the late 19th and 20th century history of the City, and assess the significance of historic properties and potential districts.

Specifications may be obtained by contacting Elizabeth Garrison, Secretary to the City Comptroller in the Comptroller’s Office at (845) 569-7316 or by emailing your company’s complete contact information to her at egarrison@cityofnewburgh-ny.gov for a speedy receipt of specifications.

Proposals shall be delivered to the City of Newburgh City Comptroller by hand, mail or other courier type services on or before specified time for delivery. Facsimile or electronic mail submittals will not be accepted.

The City of Newburgh hereby notifies all vendors that it will affirmatively insure that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the ground of race, color or national origin in consideration of an award.

The City of Newburgh reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
